The Yukon River Quest Canoe Race
takes place in June and is a 700 km race on the Yukon River from Whitehorse to Dawson (takes teams 3-5 days). It is the longest endurance marathon canoe race in the world. www.polarcom.com/~riverquest

Enclosed 25 metre pool and hot tub. Open May till October. Supervised by qualified life guards. Lessons, adult and child, including 'Parent and Tot' and 'Aquafit'and adult 'Lane Swims'.

Mountain biking trails, fairly technical.

Road biking: bike the Dempster Highway to Inuvik (one way bike, one way bus is an option).

Kluane to Chilkat International Bicycle Relay in June (160 mile, 1-8 person relay from Haines Junction, Yukon to Haines, Alaska) www.kcibr.org

Golf: Top of the World Golf Course. 9 holes. Open May to September. Golf pro on site. Lessons (kids and adult). Midnight Sun Golf Tournament on solstice weekend with tee off at midnight! Ladies nights.It's not unusual to share the course with an occasional moose!
Paragliding/Hangliding: Off the midnight Dome. Lessons available. Tandem jumps available. Annual Paragliding weekend in Dawson mid April.

Gardening: Dawson takes flower and vegetable gardening seriously. Many beautiful flower gardens throughout town and many people with vegetable gardens and greenhouses. Our growing season is short (last frost late May and first frost end of August) but intense! You can weed your garden at 3 am in the daylight! Prizes for the best gardens in town and horticultural fair in August. Gardening courses.
Baseball:

Two fields. Adult slow pitch leagues. Tournaments. Kids soft ball and T-Ball.
